Valheim Multiplayer Cheats on Community and Dedicated Servers

Solo seeds and friend-hosted worlds are where most modules are easiest to reason about — everyone in the group knows what is enabled. Public dedicated servers add admins, logs, Discord rules and player reports on top of vanilla mechanics.

Vanilla devcommands run on your client in solo or when you host locally. On a dedicated server the game blocks cheat-flagged console lines unless you add mods and admin permissions — see /forums/valheim-cheat-vs-console for the full comparison.

Dedicated servers expose a short admin command set — kick, ban, save, world modifiers, events — that server owners run from the console. Those commands manage the world; they are not a full ESP or god mode menu.

Server devcommands (the common Thunderstore mod) lets listed admins run client-side cheat lines such as fly or spawn while connected — but it requires installs on the admin client, often server-side plugin support and your ID in adminlist.txt. It still does not give every player a private ESP overlay.

Use normal admin commands when you own the server and only need moderation or world tweaks. Use a documented loader only where host rules allow and you accept visibility and report risk — read /forums/valheim-cheat-safety first.

A loader adds overlay modules — player ESP, resource ESP, god mode and similar — on your PC. It does not make you server admin, bypass a host ban list or rewrite server-side validation by itself.

Other players, admins and spectators can still notice impossible movement, instant mining patterns or clip evidence. No module removes social rules on a community server.

Compatibility varies by game build and server type. After patches, confirm status on /valheim-cheats and follow /forums/complete-setup before joining a populated server with new toggles enabled.
